This is the wonderful Panter, Hasseman's Choka (1998-2007), who died September 8th, and who is Kane's predecessor.

Another party trick, using old working dog skills as the retrieve being a photo model...
The Look. Even mild, gentle Panter scared off a policeman once; she kept him up against a fence untill he stopped yelling and behaved nicely.
Photo models have to work even when out in the forests.
Favorite haunt, a small lake in Maridalen, where Panter's ashed were spread - just like her old friend Simon the borzoi's

Pensive look. As ad adult she slept on the sofa. But if we came across a stuffed couch that someone had left out on the street, I could tell he "let's go", and she would gleefully rip it to pieces!

A bit embarassing, but we actually took part in a fashion show! At Pet Shop Girls.

Very, very typical Panter pose! She is very seriously guarding my bag... and could sit like this for hours.
This is actually one of the very last pictures I took of Panter. Half an hour later she was gone for good. This is at the vet's office, after she had gotten the first shot to make her sleep. Afterwards we went out to sit by the river, all three of us, Panter chewing on the big bone she picked up at the vet clinic where we did the ultra sound that confirmed our suspicions; that she had another internal bleeding and that this was it. After getting more IV fluid, she was almost herself again - trying to get the bone as we were passing through. Of course she got it. An amazing dog that never will be forgotten. And Ponny stayed faithfully at her side untill it was over, it was a very peaceful passing over.

Panter - BH Hassemans Choka
Born in June 1998, she was a new hope in a dark year in many ways. She was born after very merited dogs, Working Ch. Äventyrs Brando and Hasseman's Qia, who had top scores in the Police L-tests of 294 and 292 points.
Panter was a milder type, although she did well on the MH-test, as well as the Funksjonsanalyse, and also passed the German BH-test.
At 11 months I entered her in obedience class I, and she qualified at this first time for class II. We got almost into the Elite class, missing only by 1.5 points, and then I stopped competing in obedience.
She was in the Rundering class B, and in Tracking class C.
In her later years, I got the bronze mark in agility, after debuting her at 7 years, and she won some Rally Obedience competitions with me as well - 8-9 years of age, one of them with the maximum score.
Most of all, she was the greatest friend and protector - of me, as well as of Ponny the heeler and all her friends.
She passed away from cancer, Hemangiosarkom. We tried operating her, removing her spleen, and that gave her some extra months to get spoilt rotten - a wonderful, long summer where we just went for swimming and forest walks and fun with friends.
